Education System in North Macedonia
Post World War II, the level of education in North Macedonia was under question. There were only few hundred people with University degrees. Today the scenario is different as proper consideration is given to Education and literacy in the country.
The duration of Elementary Education in North Macedonia is 8 years, after which students are awarded Certificate for Complementary Elementary Education. Furthermore, Secondary Education is offered through different schools, such as, High School, Technical Schools and Vocational Schools.
Higher Education in North Macedonia is offered through Colleges, Pedagogical Academies and Universities. Colleges and Pedagogical Academies offers two-year course. The duration of University courses varies from four to six years.
The North Macedonia also has a well developed Education infrastructure to train adults. Different institutions also organize a large number of courses ranging from Information Science and Computer Operation to the study of Foreign Languages.
